FAQs

We frequently get calls asking all sorts of questions.  Although the process is a simple one, it can be confusing for some.  We're happy to answer your questions as best we can, even if you don't hire us.  We're here to help! Some common questions:

  • Can we notarize via Zoom, FaceTime, etc.?

  • No. This is called remote online notarize (RON). We do not offer this service.

  • My ID is expired. Can you still use it?

  • If the ID was issued within (5) years of today's date, then yes.  Otherwise, no.

  • Can you use witnesses to verify my identity?

  • Yes.  Two witnesses with a valid picture ID may act as witnesses to your identity.

  • My mother/father, etc. had a stroke/has dementia/etc. , can you still notarize?

  • This must be handled on a case-by-case basis. It is the notary's responsibility to determine if the signer understands what they are signing and if they are capable of doing so.
